Fairfax Neonatal Associates. P.C. is a physician practice based in Northern Virginia. Our neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners provide tertiary care services at Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children, neonatology services at Inova Fair Oaks and Potomac Hospitals, and pediatric hospitalist services at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. Our three primary locations have over 16,000 births each year. Our Pulmonary Medicine Division provides comprehensive care for respiratory illnesses in infants and children.
Our success with even the smallest infants is well recognized throughout the community, and we are proud that the neonatal mortality rate for infants born at Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children is one of the lowest in the nation.
We are constantly working to maintain the highest standard of care. Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children is active in the Vermont-Oxford Quality Improvement Initiative. The NICU has taken the lead in reducing the incidence of Chronic Lung Disease. We are actively involved in the national effort to reduce medical errors and in investigating new ways to reduce pain in the NICU.
